The Haramain High-Speed Railway Phase 1 Package 1

  • The Haramain High-Speed Railway (HHR) project is a major investment in infrastructure by KSA and concluded with the construction of around 450 km of electrified, standard gauge, dual railway track for trains with a design speed of 360km/h. The project scope was the design and construction of civil works and infrastructure of 450 km route for double-track railroad line divided into ten (10) sub-projects. The Phase 1 Package 1 is the design and construction of the route civil works has the following details
  • Bridges, Viaducts and Tunnels with a total length of 37,000 meters
  • Piling works with different depths with a total length of 110,000 meters
  • Retaining walls with different heights ranging from 5 to 30 meters and a total length of 80,000 meters
  • Drainage culverts and vehicular underpasses over (860 numbers)
  • Earthworks (cut/fill) in soil and very hard rock with a total of 115,000,000 m3
  • Asphalt works with a total of 2,800,000 m2
  • Dry and wet utilities with a total length of 60,000 meters
